The design is contemporary, despite the reference to the more than 50 years old E-Type. The size is rather compact and have found only two seats in the interior space. The body is aluminum with carbon fiber details, which can be found for example in the seat frames. He brings a total of only about 1,600 kilograms.

The V-6 gasoline engine is supplemented by an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery, which is mounted to save space behind the seat has. The Jaguar C X16 is therefore a hybrid and will consume an average of 6.9 liters. With six cylinders, it brings the gasoline to 380 hp and 450 Nm. When accelerating it is supported by the electric motor. This plowing up to a speed of 80 km / h even in the solo program. Jaguar has oriented itself to the perfect cooperation between the two engines in Formula 1 and assumed their principle of recuperation.

Initial speculation points to a price point of below 80,000 euros. Before the end of 2013 / early 2014 we will know more, because then you can rely on the C-X16.
