- Party workers should model themselves after military officials.
- Capitalist influences has to be prevented
- A strong highlight on socialism
According to multiple high level sources, Kim Jong-Il stated on 27th January this year that the Worker's party should strengthen its regime and the "military first politics", in order to accomplish a revolutionary feat that Kim-il Sung left as a legacy. He said that the 65th anniversary of the party will be an important revolutionary event which will show its enemies the power of the military government that innovates all aspects of the strong socialist country.
A high level source explains that the use of the term, 'an important revolutionary event' implies that Kim Jong-il's youngest son, Kim Jong-Un, will officially debut as a leader of the party at the anniversary on 10th October this year.
Kim Jong Il suggested that the party workers should model themselves after military officials to play a role as 'a mother party' of the people. He advised Lee Yong Cheol, the 1st secretary of the Kim ll-Sung youth alliance, that the alliance should prevent the youth of the country from being influenced by capitalist ideas and should do its best to educate the youth to admire the socialist motherland.
The high level source reported that the advice represents Kim Jong Il's concern that private organisations are not executing his commands as much as military organisations are. It added that his comment on shielding the youth from captialist ideas indicates that cultural openness and reform should not be even imagined.
Such remarks point out that North Korea will continue its closed-minded and strong socialist directions this year while it appears to stress peace and co-oporation in international affairs.
